OUR WINES

Come and discover the Pedro Estates

Each year, the vine tells a different story: a cooler spring, a more generous summer, a harvest that is more or less early. From one vintage to the next, our wines change face, and that is what makes the Médoc so rich.
Since 1962, Jacques Pedro and his family have cultivated their vines with patience, respecting traditional techniques.

Haut-Médoc

Château Le Meynieu

Suppleness – Roundness – Elegance

Our historic property, where it all began: a 19th-century residence surrounded by vineyards, in Vertheuil, at the gateway to Saint-Estèphe. On its clay-limestone plateau, a generous portion of Merlot produces a Haut-Médoc with expressive fruit,
charming from its youth.

Our three properties have been High Environmental Value certified since 2021.

The highest level of environmental certification for agricultural holdings. Our three wines can be discovered at the Château during our complimentary tours and tastings.

One house, one standard of excellence

Two appellations from the Left Bank of the Bordeaux vineyard

Our three wine properties are located on the Left Bank of the Gironde estuary, in the north of the Médoc vineyard. Château Le Meynieu is in the Haut-Médoc appellation, in the commune of Vertheuil. Château Lavillotte and Domaine de la Ronceray are in the Saint-Estèphe appellation. All three are red wines from the Bordeaux vineyard, yet these neighboring terroirs give them distinct characters. It is this diversity that we seek to preserve: our role is to let each vineyard express itself freely, vintage after vintage, without ever seeking to standardize them.

Our expertise

From one property to another, the method remains the same: plot-by-plot vinification, twelve months of aging in oak barrels in our climate-controlled cellar, then bottling at the Château. The bottles then rest in our underground cellar until their departure.

One family, one team

Jacques Pedro still manages the house with his children, Hervé and Caroline, supported by Sébastien Fraysse, estate director, and a loyal and passionate team. Together, they oversee every stage, from pruning the vines to the departure of the bottles.
